The procedure to transfer assets of a decedent who died with a will (testate) or without a will (intestate). Documents that will be helpful in your meeting: ● Will and any Codicils ● Death Certificate (if available) ● Decedent’s most recently filed federal and state tax returns ● List of names and dates of birth of spouse and children ● Assets in the name of the decedent ● Assets payable to beneficiaries ● List of creditors
